beef up your steeringbeef up your steering

Our Silvias can handle a lot of abuse already in stock form. But nevertheless, some day things start to fail…

The stock tie rods are somewhat slim and tend to bend during hard drifting (especially at steering lock). Does this happen repeatedly, one will sooner or later snap… leaving you on the track with one wheel going wild…

By this time you should upgrade the rods! Don’t even bother with a cheap used rod from another S-chassis car.

Best is to get a performance tie rod, together with an adjustable outer link. This gives you the opportunity to adjust the tie rod angle in relation to the ground (needed when car was extremely lowered).

Normally those upgrade rods come with a feature, that extends your steering angle.

this makes a noticeable difference, above a right turn lock before…

and after… 🙂

so go for it and beef it up! NOW! 😛
